News From Sherry
There is an old John Denver song that says...."Some days are diamonds, Some
days are stones. Sometimes the hard times won't leave me alone." Lately that's
just the way I've felt. Every time I turn around
there's something blocking my
path t try and keep me from moving forward
. But as I was thinking about what
to say for this week I thought about starting it just the way I did then God
decided to remind me what
those dull jagged stones can accomplish. I believe
that a little boy named David pick up 5 stones that were in his path and
defeated a giant......WOW! What a thought!....I now have tears and a tingle in
my nose because God is reminding me that when we have days that seem rocky
and there is nothing but stones in our path, through His power those stones can
be used to defeat the very giants that are blocking our path. Those giants may be
financial, health, family problems, self will...the list goes on and on.
1 Samuel 17:45-50
45 David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and
javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of
the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.
46 This day the LORD will deliver you into my hands, and I'll strike you down
and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine
army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that
there is a God in Israel. 47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by
sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the lord's, and he will give
all of you into our hands."
48 As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the
battle line to meet him.
49 Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the
Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell face
down on the ground.
50 So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a
sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him.

So when you Goliath is standing in your face mocking you telling you your
that you're nothing or you're too small to beat him......just kneel down beside
that still waters of God and pick up some of those stones, place them in the
"sling" of the Spirit of God and then just "let it go" and let Him guide that
stone straight into the forehead of that giant and watch him fall to the ground.
Sweet Victory with only a stone and the Sling of the Spirit of God.

DO YOU KNOW THE LORD?

Admit Your Sin:
First, you must admit that you are a sinner. The Bible says, "There is none righteous, no, not one" (Romans 3:10). "For all have
sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). It is our sin that separates us from God and from fulfilling our deepest
needs and longings. Sin is an offense against God that carries a serious penalty. According to Romans 6:23, "The wages of sin is
death [eternal separation from the love and mercy of God]."

Abandon Your Efforts:
Second, you must abandon any efforts to save yourself. If we could save ourselves, Jesus' death would have been unnecessary!
Even "getting religion" cannot get you to heaven.
The Bible says it is "not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His [God's] mercy He saved us" (Titus
3:5).
Salvation is by God's grace, "not of works, lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Accept Christ as Your Savior:
Salvation is God's gift to you. "The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
When someone offers you a priceless gift, the wisest thing you can do is accept it! This very moment, you can receive Christ's gift
of salvation by sincerely praying this simple prayer from your heart:

Dear God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that You love me and want to save me. Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God,
who died on the cross to pay for my sins. I believe God raised You from the dead. I now turn from my sin and, by faith, receive
You as my personal Lord and Savior. Come into my heart, forgive my sins, and save me, Lord Jesus. In Your name I pray, Amen.

If you have not yet made a decision for Christ, we urge you to receive Him today. If you have accepted Christ as your personal
savior and have started on this journey, we want to hear about it.

What My Ministry Is About

I have been ministering in song for most of my adult life. I have always felt a passion and a call to
minister to people in a way the only
"The Song" can do. So often people can't understand the spoken
word but somehow the song always seems to touch the unseen hurt. I have watched as hearts are
mended, eyes opened, and lives touched as God uses the vessel that He has given me.
